Sorcha Disbrey - Tax Manager
After qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in Devon, Sorcha moved to Oxford and joined Critchleys in 1998, dealing with corporate tax issues and complex personal tax clients. Sorcha now mainly deals with corporate work, specialising in reorganisations, demergers and family run businesses.
Sorcha left school at 16 to work as an assistant to a financial adviser. When the new regulations for financial institutions were brought in, she started producing management accounts and client’s reconciliations for all their various offices throughout Devon.
She took this career further by working for a firm of Chartered Accountants doing audits, but soon realised that auditing was not for her and decided to specialise in tax.
Having had an accountancy background, Sorcha was able to put these skills to good use when dealing with corporate tax work.
