Critchleys are committed to contributing to the local community and take our responsibility of being a socially and environmentally aware local business extremely seriously.
Our staff and Partners donate their time to local enterprises, providing their expertise to support organisations such as The Fredericks Foundation, a charitable organisation which supports and develops new business and growth opportunities for people from a disadvantaged background. Young Enterprise Company Programme for Oxfordshire, a programme to support local students who are setting up and subsequently running a trading company. And, The Local Economic Partnership whose aim is to be the catalyst for realising Oxfordshire’s economic and commercial potential.
We support various local charities in their fund-raising efforts, these have included: Helen and Douglas House, Sobell House, The Porch Steppin’ Stone Centre, Emmaus Oxford, The Oxfordshire Association for the Blind, The Mulberry Bush School, The Radcliffe Charitable Trust and Oxfordshire Community Foundation.
Our charity of choice for 2011-12 is Against Breast Cancer for which we have set a donation target of £2,500.
Critchleys support the local arts organisations with sponsorship of The Ashmolean, Modern Art Oxford, The Oxford Preservation Trust and The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival.
Robert Kirtland, Managing Director comments, “We are very proud of our local heritage, community projects enable us to make a real difference to the local society while learning more, broadening our experiences and stretching ourselves further”.
