Corporate Social Responsibility
As a Firm that has been in Oxfordshire for over 100 years, we are committed to the local community and take our responsibility of being a good local business extremely seriously.
We support various local charities in their fund-raising efforts, including Helen and Douglas House, Sobell House, The Porch Steppin’ Stone Centre, Emmaus Oxford and The Mulberry Bush School as well as sponsor The Ashmolean, Modern Art Oxford and The Oxford Literary Festival.
We have an annual programme of charity giving and each year our staff identify a charity to support with our various fund-raising initiatives. For 2009 we are supporting The Porch Steppin’ Stone Centre which provides support for homeless and vulnerably housed people wanting to move forward in their lives, away from street-life and addiction.
Robert Kirtland, Managing Director comments, “We are very proud of our local heritage, community projects enable us to make a real difference to the local society while learning more, broadening our experiences and stretching ourselves further”.
We are also committed to becoming a more environmentally-aware practice - as a firm we are all working together to reduce our carbon footprint and have set internal targets for the reduction of energy usage and office waste.
