Audit Manager

Founded in 1906 Critchleys is Oxford’s leading firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, with a professional and friendly culture. Its 120 people are based in offices in central Oxford and serve a wide variety of clients.

The audit team has 22 staff and following internal promotions to partner we have a vacancy for a qualified accountant to join our audit team as an audit manager. You will be one of four audit managers with day to day responsibility for managing a portfolio of audit clients.

The audit team provides audit and assurance services to a wide variety of interesting clients, and has built up a good reputation in the charity field.  A significant proportion of our audit clients are charities and therefore experience in this area would be advantageous.

Candidates should either have experience of managing a portfolio of audit clients or worked at a senior level in an audit team. A client-focused attitude and the interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients are pre-requisites. You will be a team player with good time management skills. You must be IT literate, with an interest in training staff.

This post is based primarily in the Oxford office, but will involve visiting clients’ premises, therefore a full driving licence will be useful.
