Why do the 'small things' always take up so much time?
As your business grows, so does the volume and complexity of the administrative work it requires. Things like bookkeeping, quarterly VAT returns, management accounts, budgets and forecasts. They must be done right, but I'm guessing they are not why you went into business are they?
Here are 2 suggestions that might help: outsourcing and smart technology.

Second, if you aren't already doing so, I'd encourage you to explore how technology could make your business more efficient. For example, cloud accounting systems like Xero make it much easier and quicker to enter, share, understand and act on the numbers in your business.
