Andrew joined Critchleys as a trainee auditor in 2004 after gaining a BSc (Hons) in Economics.
Since joining the firm, he has completed his Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales training and quickly progressed to the role of audit manager which he held for five years before becoming a Partner. During his time he has gained extensive accounts and audit experience in both the commercial and charitable sectors and enjoys helping both client types achieve their different objectives. Andrew excels in considering the wider context of the client engagement and seeks to achieve the client’s objectives through his pragmatic approach to advice.
His commercial portfolio includes multiple international groups and companies in the technology, software, manufacturing and distribution sectors. The international aspect of his portfolio includes preparation and auditing of consolidated accounts for parent companies of international groups, acting as the component auditor for foreign-based parents and conversion of UK accounts into International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
His diverse charity portfolio includes many Oxford colleges through to small local entities. He enjoys volunteering as a trustee of a local charity and uses this experience, of applying his skills to practical situations that arise within a charity’s governance, to assist his clients.
