An education sector client needed to take on some part-time staff but were unsure how many hours work per week they needed, and so wanted flexibility in their arrangements.

The client needed to establish the type of contract required and the working relationship it would have with the part-time staff.

We advised on the types of contracts, employment status, legislative changes and statutory rights of each individual engaged.

Once the employment status had been determined we were able to provide bespoke contracts.

This allowed the client to deploy its part-time staff in a flexible way, and improved their awareness of the legal aspects of contract types for future recruitment needs.
