VAT Manager/Associate Director

An exciting opportunity for a VAT Manager or Associate Director to lead and manage the Firm’s VAT advisory services.

The role

As the VAT Manager/Associate Director you will be responsible for leading and managing the Firm’s VAT advisory services provided to both existing clients and on new assignments and projects.

You will contribute to the development of consultancy work and projects for the Firm as a whole, cross-selling to other departments, and assist colleagues with general VAT advice to clients.

You will proactively lead VAT business development initiatives and winning new business for the Firm with the support of our Business Development team and inform our existing client base of new developments in VAT matters.

The person

First and foremost, this role demands that you have proven in depth VAT advisory experience and track record. In addition, you will have strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively work and communicate with a variety of colleagues in different service teams from trainee to partner levels. You will be willing to motivate and develop junior staff as well as contributing to team meetings.

As the VAT Manager/Associate Director, you will have a genuine interest in our clients and have a desire to put them first. It is essential that you have strong client relationship skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions to meet deadlines. Additionally, you will have the ability to deliver effective project management.

Wider indirect tax knowledge including Stamp Duty is desirable for this role, however, it is not essential.
