Our LinkedIn Video experiment

Our LinkedIn Video experiment

4 months ago we stumbled upon LinkedIn Video.

We were invited by our neighbours at the Saïd Business School to see their interactive 'HIVE' learning environment. We filmed it (on a mobile phone) and posted it on LinkedIn.

Within 4 days, our video had been watched by over 1800 people. 197 of them are CEOs or Company founders.

Over the last 4 months, we've posted 15 videos featuring contributions from our core team and some other local businesses. Here are the headlines:

  • Together, they have been watched more than 25,000 times.
  • At least 12% of our viewers are senior leaders in businesses.
  • 24% are based in Oxford City itself.

We share this because what works for us may work for you too.

Posting video to LinkedIn is an increasingly powerful way to reach your audience and build your profile.

The best thing is that it's not as hard as it seems. We did all our videos ourselves. That kept things cheap and fast without losing effectiveness.

If you'd like to find out more, have a look at this short 2-part video, where we share the top 3 Linkedin Video discoveries we've made so far.

And here's Part 2:

If you decide to take the leap and press record, please let us know - we'd love to cheer you on your way!
