The role

As a Business Services Senior, you will be responsible for preparing complete and accurate statutory accounts and tax computations/returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited liability companies. You will also have an opportunity to provide tax advisory services to companies and individuals.

A key part of this role is building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high levels of service is delivered at all times.

You will support the training, review and supervision of junior team members and assist managers to oversee and implement general practice procedures to improve performance and efficiency.

The person

We are looking for a good team player who can be an inspiration to others. You will be highly organised and good at managing your own workload, and able to complete client work to a high standard with minimal supervision.

You should be comfortable working directly with and meeting clients and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will be a fully qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA) with at least 3 years of experience in practice, and are committed to your continued professional development.

It is an essential requirement of this role that you are experienced and confident with accounts preparation under FRS 105 and FRS 102 1a frameworks. Experience with accounting software, desktop or online (Xero, Sage and Quickbooks) is desirable.

You will need to live within a commutable distance of Oxford.

Our benefits

This position is to designed to be a full-time position, working 37.5 hours during Monday to Friday, although part-time working will be considered.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year (full time equivalent; depending on experience)

Throughout your initial settling-in period, normally your first 6 months, you will be based in our Oxford office so that you can build strong colleague and client relationships and be confident in your role and with our systems, after which some homeworking may be agreed.
