The role

As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for managing the tax aspects of a number of owner managed businesses and their proprietors, including the preparation of company, partnership and personal tax returns. You will have the opportunity to take on your own portfolio and manage your own client relationships.

You will provide proactive tax planning advice to the Firm’s clients along with completing tax advisory projects (with the tax Partner’s support where appropriate). You will also have opportunities to undertake marketing and business development activities and be involved in strategic meetings for the tax team’s business.

You will also provide training and support for tax associates and apprentices in the team helping them improve their technical knowledge and professional development.

The person

We are looking for a team player who is motivated to help our clients, taking a genuine interest in them, and has a desire to put them first.

You will have a thorough and methodical approach to work and have excellent problem-solving skills. You will be confident and well organised, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good IT skills.

You will be fully CTA, ATT, ACCA or ACA qualified, or qualified by experience. Training and a comprehensive study support package will be provided for candidates that would like to obtain a CTA or other qualification.

You will need to live within a commutable distance of Oxford.

The benefits

This position is a full-time position, working 37.5 hour during Monday to Friday (part-time working considered).

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per year, depending on experience
